Regardless of all the accusations, there will always be some space in my heart for Michael Jackson. May his sould rest in peace. I used to cut my white t-shirts in front when I was young. We all have our any Michael Jackson moments, don’t we? Share them of you like :)

Yesterday I discovered a place that I’ll simply call my little utopia. A place not far from my home, it’s a miracle it took me so long to discover it. Lying in the outskirts of the town I live in, I could see the rooftops of the last houses as I flew higher and higher on the swing. We climbed on a cherry tree and ate the fruit right there, commenting on how this place was so much like paradise. Far away from the hectic flow of the city that always seems to be in some state of chaos. Fresh air filled our lungs and yellow butterflies danced around us, as we hung in the tireswing and watched the clouds transform. We ran around barefoot, even making cartwheels and letting our feet bond with the ground, just like our ancestors did hundreds and hundreds of years ago. Every now and then an old granny walking her dog or hikers would pass our way without noticing what holy ground they were striding through. Without opening their eyes, to see that paradise begun there, right in front of them.

Many people have complained about Alexander Wang, but I think I am starting to like him more by the day :)

As for Burberry Prorsum, I love how Baily reinvents the classic trench coat cut evry season. This time it seems to have a wooly texture and is covered in ruffles. Exactly my kind of thing. Very nice!

Marc Jacobs. I love the colour palette used here. Even though I should be focusing on softer, natural and nude-ish colours, I couldn’t help but post this one. Especially because the dresses remind me of little cupcakes.

(part II)

Sometimes I don’t know what to think about Lady Gagas style, but one thing is for sure: it is always entertaining. I also have the habit to look for inspiration in exaggeration. And thats exactly what she does: Exaggerate. I think we all have our Lady Gaga moments, eventhough we might not want to admit it. Her tracks are catchy and fun. And I simply love the hair-bow.

So that you finally have a face you can link to this place.

Also: Bought myself a copy of “Norwegian Wood” by Haruki Murakami yesterday. After reading “Hard-Boiled Wonderland”, “Kafka at the Shore” and “The Wind-up Bird Chronicle” I though I’d read the one that has been hyped so much. As much as I don’t really like hype, sometimes you just don’t get around it.

” ‘I don’t know, it’s stupid turning twenty,’ she said. ‘I am just not ready. It feels weird. Like somebody is pushing me from behind.’ “

It’s quotes like this that run a shiver down my spine. I don’t know how Murakami does it, but he manages to write directly out of my thoughts, actually out of my soul. Incase you’ve read any of his works, do you feel like that too? He really is talented and I may not be an expert, but it’s no wonder people think he deserves a Nobel prize in literature.

A couple of books that are next on my list. I have heard a lot about “Lolita” as it is considered a taboo-book amongst some people of our society. That gives me even more reasons to take a closer look.

She was the only reason I granted myself this gulity pleasure every thursday. I even put my bet on her on the evening of the finale. I know I am almost two weeks late, but I was going to post this sooner or later. Herzlichen Glückwunsch Sara! :)

I am in a hurry so I won’t tag anyone right now, but go ahead and read the answers. :)

1. A good book, in this case Murakamis “Hard-Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World”. You’ll always find a book in my bag.

2. My diary. Without it I’d be even more lost and would even forget more things. It’s always with me.

3. My purse which I have had for such a long time it’s almost falling appart. We’ve been through thick and thin.

4. Pencil case, because you never know when you have a good idea.

5. My keys with the monkey key-chain.

6. My Mp3-Player, which died on me some weeks ago. And I thought I coudln’t be without portable music. Well,…it’s working so far.

7. My folder with sketches and ideas. If I happen to forget it, my diary will have to bear with me.

8. Gummies, preferabley by Katjes, but actually it doesn’t really matter. I love eating gummies, especially on a longer trip by train or U-Bahn.

9. Magazines. I have to say that my consumption on magazines has really gone down. I used to read waaay more when I was younger. But yeah, you’ll always find a magazine in my bag, because I hate waiting and if I have to wait for something I’d rather entertain myself whilst doing so.

10. Lastly, my Go-Fresh Dove Deodrant. I only discovered it a couple of weeks ago and it’s brilliant and really fresh. Will be sticking to it for some time.

Tigers And Leopards Are In Our Hearts

First of all, this may be a little late, but Coldplay were giving away a live album for free on their website. More information can be found on their blog, I just thought I should share as long as it is still up.

Also: KD of Like a Smoothie thanks for tagging me. I’ll get back to the “Ten Things I Always Carry in My Bag” tag in my next entry. Thanks a lot. :)

Also I discovered Poladroid for myself. I know this isn’t new to most of you either, but in case you don’t have a real Polaroid Camera (like me) or just want to play around with pictures you took with your regular camera: GO DOWNLOAD! It may not be able to replace the original and it may only be a small consolation if you think about the fact that the last polaroid factory closed some months ago. Still it’s better than nothing. And one thing is for sure, you’ll be seeing more poladroids on this place from now on. :)

Over fifteen years they’ve been making music that makes me melt somewhere inside. Melt in a good way that is. I was most amazed to find out that their song “Falling Down” is the opening theme to Eden of the East (Higashi no Eden - 東のエデン) which I only stubled upon yesterday. My circle of interests has offcically been closed. From more or less alternative music over various other things to anime and back. Yay!

Also, I rediscovered my polyvore account that is over two years already. I can’t believe it! Anyway, here are the fruits of my efforts. Stripes are a classic and it is funny how I love them so much, but I only have one striped thing in my closet.

When is comes to street style inspiration I love to take a look at these three cities. I think it’s safe to say that they are my favourite. All of them have their own distinctive elements of style and you can always tell, whether an outfit is typically parisian, stockholmish or tokyo-ish.

Thanks again, Nathalie, I really appreciate it. ♥

Award text: This award goes to bloggers who I admire deeply for their creative skills or their incredible ways of handling important and delicate subjects through their writing. It goes to them and their blogs who I continually keep returning to because I feel they give me something extra in my everyday life and in the blogosphere.

Here is my list:

Milk At Midnight

Girl Meets NYC

Repeatoire

Rabenschwarz

As you may have noticed my updates are not as frequent as they normally are. My internet has been acting weird for some time so please excuse me.
